Interview question preparation (In English)

Question 1: Could you tell me about yourself and your work experience?

I currently work part-time as a cleaner and snowblower in the Tahkovuori area, but my main background is in mechanical maintenance. I have almost 20 years of practical experience in industry, especially in waste-to-energy plants, where I performed mechanical repairs, preventive maintenance and troubleshooting.

Question 2: Why do you want to work at FredSe and how do your skills fit into their operations?

I am interested in FredSe because your company is known as an agile and high-quality provider of sheet metal processing machine service and maintenance services – you solve mechanical, electrical and software challenges quickly and in a customer-oriented manner. I have almost 20 years of experience in mechanical maintenance, including high-pressure systems, seals, blockage removal and predictive maintenance – exactly the strengths that FredSe values.

I have a strong motivation to minimize production downtime and maintain machine reliability – this fits perfectly with FredSe’s way of working, where foresight and customer focus are the key. My practical experience and disciplined approach make me an excellent addition to your installation team.

Question 3: What kind of maintenance tasks have you done?

I have replaced sensors and gauges, repaired seals, unblocked conveyors, pumps and silos, and performed preventive maintenance work such as filter replacements.

Question 4: How do you handle stressful situations?

I stay calm, analyze the problem and solve it step by step. For example, when a hydraulic pump was blocked, I quickly and safely removed it so that production could continue.

Question 5: Why should we hire you?

With extensive international maintenance experience, I am hard-working, adaptable and motivated to build my career in Finland with Fred Se.

Question 6:What do you do in your free time, or do you have hobbies that are related to this job?

In my free time, I like to repair and replace parts myself. For example, I changed the carburetor and fuses on my scooter myself instead of taking it to a repair shop. This hobby keeps my practical skills in shape and gives me additional experience in problem-solving.

Question 7:What motivates you in your work?

I am motivated by solving problems and keeping machines in working order. I enjoy when my work prevents downtime and supports the success of the entire team.

Question 8:What are your strengths?

My strengths are my long experience in maintenance, my ability to adapt to new environments, and my hands-on working style. I also repair machines and equipment in my free time, which shows my passion for technical work.

Question 9:Do you have any questions for us?

Yes, I would like to ask what the typical work schedule is for this position and if there are opportunities for further training or development.

Self-introduction (Finnish, ~30 seconds)

Hi, my name is Tun Tun. I currently work as a part-time cleaner and snowplow operator in the Tahkovuori area. However, my main background is in mechanical maintenance, where I have almost 20 years of practical experience in industry, especially in waste-to-energy plants, where I performed repairs, predictive maintenance and troubleshooting.

I have completed a five-year mechanical engineering education since 2007. As a hobby, I also like to fix things myself — for example, I changed the carburetor and fuses on my scooter instead of taking it to a repair shop. I am hard-working, adaptable and motivated to use my skills as an installation technician here.
